SMU Coeds Bare All In Playboy Pictoral

DALLAS -- Playboy's May issue hit newsstands on Tuesday and features an 8-page "Girls of Conference USA" pictoral. The pictoral features two students from Southern Methodist University, Taylor Reid and Carrie Gene.

On Tuesday, Reid was on hand signing copies and meeting fans at the Parkit Markit in Dallas when NBC 5's cameras arrived. Reid, a sophomore, spent a couple of hours meeting fans and talking with the media.


Reid is currently taking a break from classwork, but said she plans on returning to SMU in the fall.

The issue features 36 students from all 12 schools in Conference USA.

SMU said it is not a participant in, or proponent of, Playboy's efforts to recruit students for its magazine.

Playboy last featured the "Girls of the Conference USA" in its October 2000 issue.

An SMU coed was featured as Playmate of the Month in 2005.
