Naked runner gets 30 days

DETROIT -- A 49-year-old Michigan man says he only sought excitement in his life when he ran nude through his community.

But what he got was 30 days in jail for running while wearing only a stocking cap, gloves and reflective tape.

A judge sentenced Russell Rotta of Jackson County's Blackman Township to 24 months probation and fined him $1,500.

Rotta pleaded guilty on May 22 to indecent exposure.

Police say Rotta told them he had been running naked since he was a teenager and generally woke up each day to conceal the activity from his wife.
